One of my new handles from UFO Razor Handles. But first, the lather: my Rooney Style 2 Finest made a wonderful lather from my Lenthéric vintage shaving soap: the bakelite container is in fine shape, as is the soap, but it was made decades ago. Extremely nice lather. I would imagine that the fragrance has faded somewhat with time, but certainly not its shaving efficacy.
My Edwin Jagger head did a superb job. Straight bar razors benefit from mass, and I got a totally BBS shave. The handle, of stainless steel, is heavy but evidenced not the slightest tendency to twist in my grip: the spirals are shallow, wide, and replete with cross-checking.
Altogether a comfortable shave, and a good splash of Bulgarian Rose with Lemon from Saint Charles Shave to finish the job.
