Café Vetyver is yet another Van Yulay sample—I like the soaps, the variety, and the packaging, so I loaded up on the. With the Maggard 24mm synthetic brush shown I got a very nice lather indeed. The fragrance is very nice: “Roasted Coffee with Vetyver and Nutmeg fragrance.” The ingredients:
Stearic Acid, Aloe Vera, Coconut Fatty Acid, Palm Stearic, Glycerin, Coconut-Castor-Olive-Meadow Foam-Babassu-Argan-Oils,Calendula, Extracts, Poly Quats, Sodium Lactate, BTMS, Allantoin, Silica, Kaolin Clay, Coffee Powder, Half & Half, EO’s and Fragrance.
I added water during loading, as usual with soaps containing clay, and the lather was thick and slick with a definite coffee fragrance.
Three passes with my Merkur Progress produced a very smooth result, to which I applied a good splash of Fine’s Clean Vetiver.
