The brush is the RazoRock artificial badger, though on the face it has no badger feel. It is nevertheless an excellent synthetic: fine handle, nice feel, stellar performance. It easily developed an excellent lather from Meißner Tremonia’s Woody Almond shaving paste, which has an intoxicating fragrance. I did end up adding more water as I worked the lather into the stubble, but altogether a fine lather.
I did my usual three-pass shave with no problems and achieved a BBS result. I discovered that if I start my kitchen count-down timer without entering a time, it is in effect and count-up timer, and I used it this morning to time my shave. (It’s much easier and more reliable than peering at my wristwatch and remembering the time I began.) Total time for today’s shave—done without haste, taking my time to enjoy it and do a good job—was 5 minutes 15 seconds, and that included a little extra time spent lathering prior to the first pass.
