RazoRock Brush, Alt-Eleven soap and balm, and the iKon H2O

I think RazoRock called this brush “synthetic badger,” but so far as I can tell, it’s simply a very nice synthetic with little in the way of badger feel. It performs quite well, and I got an excellent lather from Crown King’s kokum butter Alt-Eleven.

I’m not totally sure of the nomenclature for the razor, either. As I recall, this is the H2O, a two-piece razor using the same design idea as the Pils: the handle is attached to the baseplate with a roller bearing, so the handle rotates independently of the baseplate (and, also like the Pils, the alignment studs are on the baseplate, not the cap, so the blade is loaded onto the baseplate).

I got a very nice shave, but it took more work than it should so I replaced the blade at the end. But totally smooth and with no problems. It just required more touch-up than usual.

A tiny amount of Alt-Eleven aftershave balm, and the day is belatedly launched.
