I have a couple of Omega silvertips with big, fluffy knots that hold a ton of lather and feel great on my face. I don’t use them so often because I drifted in the direction of smaller knots, but I thought it would be good to give them a go again.
Because the knot is so large, a little longer loading is required, and in working up the lather, I used palm-lathering this morning. Meißner Tremonia’s Lavender de Luxe is, no surprise, a superb shaving soap, with a terrific lavender fragrance (with geranium and cypress notes). I easily loaded the brush, taking more time than I normally do, and worked the lather into the stubble.
The iKon 102 is one of my best razors. It’s extremely comfortable, rarely nicks (and didn’t today), and highly efficient, easily producing a BBS result (as it did today).
A good splash of Lavanda, and already we’re half through the week.
