I still like my little Omega “synthetic boar” S10005, though the market has moved to the Plissoft type of synthetics. But the Omega does a fine job and feels good on my face. This morning it worked up a very good lather from Jabonman’s Eufros Rosa Bourbon shaving soap, which has an extremely nice rose fragrance.
The RazoRock Baby Smooth did its usual superb job: comfortable, efficient, producing the promised baby-smooth result with no problem.
A good splash of Thayers Rose Petal witch hazel with aloe vera finished the job in fine style. Indeed, the various Thayers witch hazels (all with aloe vera—”toners” are alcohol-free, “astringents” are 10% alcohol, quite low for most aftershaves) make very good and very inexpensive (around $10 for a 12-oz bottle) aftershaves. Their fragrance is short-lived, but that’s not a serious drawback IMO.
