Extremely good shave today. The Omega silvertip is totally wonderful. I’m using my other tomorrow, then I’m going through the Wet Shaving Products brushes again, just for fun and because I was talking about them with a guy.
The lather is incredible, as usual: the combination of excellent soap and a 5″ puck makes for wonderful lather. Mantic59 has a review in Sharpologist, and we have the same impression of the soap: buy some.
The Rotbart with a Personna Tungsten 74 blade did a very fine job, though I had to work some in the final pass, so I popped in a new blade when I finished. This razor is another that was difficult to use at first—lots of nicks—but now I don’t know what the problem was: a wonderful shaver. (Actually, I think I do know what the problem was: bad blade angle. Angle seems to be the place where razors differ.)
A good splash of Speick, and the day begins.
