It’s difficult to characterize the difference in the lather from this soap. The fragrance is mild and the lather is quite … what? “soft,” comes to mind: a good thick consistency and excellent glide, and altogether satisfactory. Not quite the same as other good lathers, but the difference is subtle.
At any rate, the Monarch had no difficulty in commanding forth a great lather, and my trustworthy Stealth smoothly stripped away the stubble. Indeed, the first stroke was extremely smooth: no blade. I removed the blades for packing, and I’ve been loading the razors as I use them. Most recently, I’ve been using razors I’ve already loaded, so I absentmindedly began shaving with the Stealth, thinking it had a blade. The feel was amazingly smooth: extremely comfortable, but totally inefficient: the Weishi on steroids. 
Three passes and I applied a small splash of Saint Charles Shave’s Bulgarian Rose to finish a fine shave and a good start to the week.
