Meißner Tremonia’s Natural Bay Rum certainly loaded as though it contains clay. Let’s see:
Aqua, Stearic Acid, Cocos Nucifera oil*, Glycerin*, Potassium Hydroxide, Pimenta Racemosa oil (and) Litsea Cubeba oil (and) Eugenia Carophyllata oil, Orbignya Oleifera oil*, Sodium Hydroxide, Macadamia terifolia oil, Talc, Kaolin, Citric Acid, Simmondsia chinensis oil*, Maris sal, Brown Clay, Eugenol, Citral, Limonene, Linalool, Geraniol.
* Organic
Yep: Kaolin (or, apparently, more properly kaolinite—see link). That’s 4 Meißner Tremonia soaps I’ve used recently, and each has contained a different type of clay: kaolin today, and previously rhassoul, French green clay, and yellow clay. Each soap has been excellent. This one did require a bit more water in the loading, but still a relatively small amount.
And the lather was excellent in both consistency and fragrance. The brush I used, my Rooney Style 2 Finest, is always a pleasure.
The Stealth has a more distinct blade feel than the 102, but is still extremely comfortable—and highly efficient. Three passes left a smooth face with no nicks, and a splash of Captain’s Choice, a bay rum that contains no cloves, finished the job.
I feel for men who shave without enjoying it. For me, it’s a true morning pleasure.
