Russia tea has a fine spice fragrance and the lather is excellent, but unfortunately Strop Shoppe is no more. She was a chemist who was an early entrant in the shaving renascence, and her shaving soaps were really excellent, but it’s hard for a one-person operation to make it.
I used a Maggard 22mm synthetic, and the process and result were highly satisfactory. This is the original Game Changer, the .62-P, and I am reminded me of an experience I had with my fountain pens: the pen I was using seemed to be my favorite pen, regardless of which it was. So it is with the Game Changer. When I used the .84-P, I write that I thought I preferred that version. This morning, as I used the .62-P, I thought that I prefer this one. I liked the gentler feel, and there’s nothing wrong with its efficiency. So it goes. I imagine the next time I use the .84-P, I’ll feel like it’s better.
Three passes, total smoothness, and a splash of Chatillon Lux’s Gratiot League Square to finish the job and start the weekend.
