A truly wonderful shave. Somehow the Rooney Victorian seemed perfectly to match both D.R. Harris Marlborough and my mood this morning. Every part of the shave seemed pleasurable and spot-on. I never got this feeling in the morning as I prepared to face the day when I had a beard.
D.R. Harris lather remains a wonder, and the shave stick, with its protective cap, is ideal for travel. My Rooney Victorian has a wonderful knot, and the handle seems very British Empire of the Victorian age. Although not an Edwin Jagger, the RazoRock MJ-90A is modeled on that razor but takes it to the next level of perfection with a CNC-machined head and a threaded stud from the cap that will not snap off. The handle is excellent, and I see he sells this same design in titanium. Let me think… am I short of a handle? Perhaps.
A good splash of Marlborough aftershave, and the day is wonderfully launched.
