The metal color in this case is bronze, the razor being a limited edition Fendrihand Mk II stainless-steel razor that was plated in bronze. “Metal colored” is often used is reference to a silvery color — the color of stainless steel, nickel plate, non-anodized aluminum, or the like, but of course bronze, brass, gold, and rhodium are also metals. “Metal colored” turns out to be not specific enough.
Barrister & Mann’s Cologne Russe has a lovely fragrance — “lemon, bergamot, petitgrain, and herbs with violet, rose, bay, and amber” — and it makes a lovely lather, thanks in part to Mühle’s second-generation synthetic brush.
Fendrihan’s Mk II razor is wonderful, and I easily obtained a perfectly smooth result in three passes. A splash of Cologne Russe aftershave, and the day is fragrantly begun.
