Following up on my previous SOTD post, from Saturday, I tried the Woodturners Catalog slant again, this time with a new Gillette 7 O’Clock SharpEdge blade. It was somewhat more efficient than with the Astra Superior Platinum blade, but it still in not what I would call an efficient razor. One point I didn’t note before: the head covers the blade’s end tabs, which I like but some do not.
The lather was excellent, thanks to the excellent teamwork of the Maggard 22mm synthetic and Eufros Rosa Bourbon.
After some blade buffing, I got a reasonable result (and retired the head). A splash of Saint Charles Shave Bulgarian Rose finished the job.
