Trueefitt & Hill is one of the “Three T’s” of classic English shaving, the others being Taylor of Old Bond Street and Geo. F. Trumper, though D.R. Harris properly belongs to this group as well.
T&H make only the one shaving soap, though a variety of shaving creams. The soap is excellent: triple-milled lavender shaving soap that produces a fine lather, today with the wonderful HJM synthetic brush from Mühle.
The bakelite slant with an Astra Superior Platinum blade did three very pleasant passes, removing a two-day stubble with no problems at all. A splash of Peary & Henson from ProspectorCo.com, and the new week begins.
