Barrister & Mann’s Seville shaving soap (“this soap contains bergamot, lemon, patchouli, oakmoss, lavender, and rosemary”) made a great lather with my increasingly-broken-in Omega Pro 48, a brush I grow fonder of every time I use it. Spend some time loading it, and you can shave in luxury: great feel on the face. And I face lather: the brush’s size is no impediment and gives it great capacity.
I very much liked the fragrance of Seville, but I hope that soon a paper will be found that doesn’t melt so much into the soap: unwrapping the thing is a bit of a mess. A waxed or a cellophane paper would work better, though I would buy it in a tub if that were available.
With the wonderful lather, and with the Eclipse Red Ring razor, the shave went extremely well: BBS easily achieved and with pleasure.
A good splash of Royall Mandaarin to finish the day, and the weekend will soon begin.
