Yesterday morning I used my Henson AL13, and though I got a wonderful shave, I had to do a bit of work under my jawline and on my neck. So I thought this morning I would try their AL13M for comparison.
But first the lather, and what a wonderful lather it was. Grooming Dept Mallard formula is extremely nice. The almost-dry brush began loading immediately, but I wanted a really well-loaded brush so one at a time I added 3 driblets of water, working each well into the soap and brush before adding the next. Then as I lathered my stubble, I added water again to get a peerless lather.
The AL13M did prove to be noticeably more efficient. Though there a few spots that almost always require attention, they were quickly attended to, and the overall result was a great shave.
A splash of Savory Rose from Saint Charles Shave finished the job.
It’s beautiful, sunny morning, and best Christmas-Eve wishes to all. Blogging today will be heavily into brief videos.
