I used the Omega 20102 today just to compare, and I again find that the Pro 48 is better: fuller knot (the 20102 has a kind of hollow center) and longer loft mean better overall feel and performance. The 20102 is not bad, by any means, but the Pro 48 is noticeably better.
I haven’t used Barrister & Mann’s Leviathan for a while, and it’s a pleasure to return to it. Fine lather, great fragrance, and excellent consistency of lather with good glide (doubtlessly helped by my use of Grooming Dept Moisturizing Pre-Shave).
Baili makes excellent razors, and this BD179 is extremely good. (It also comes in two other colors: gold and gun-metal). Three passes to perfection.
A splash of Leviathan aftershave, tamed with a squirt of Grooming Dept Hydrating Gel, and I’m ready to huddle inside until the overnight snowfall is cleared.
