This Rooney Style 3 Size 1 has about as long a loft as my Rooney Style 2, but the difference in feel is quite noticeable. The Style 2 is their Finest badger, and this one is Super Silvertip, which lacks the remarkable resilience of the Finest knot. Although there’s a big difference in feel, there’s no real difference in performance, and they both perform very well indeed.[
This Phoenix Artisan Cavendish is in their CK-6 formula, so the lather is both abundant and very nice for one’s skin. My Edwin Jagger moved smoothly and worked well — theres a reason this head design is so often copied — and the result after 3 pleasurable passes was excellent: perfect smoothness and no damage done.
