I tend to think of my Rooney Emilion as having a short loft, but I noticed this morning after I had loaded it and worked up the lather, the knot had puffed out noticeably from being engorged with lather. That requires a certain amount of loft, more than I thought it had.
And the lather was really excellent, coming from the Ariana & Evans Tertius shaving soap. It prepared me well for The Holy Black’s SR-71 razor, which ungratefully nicked me slightly on the chin. I swapped out the blade with the idea that the surly disposition may be due to an aged blade. Some things (and people) get cranky when they are older.
Very nice and smooth result, to which a splash of Tabac with a squirt of Hydrating Gel was applied with pleasure.
