Continuing the series of lofty brushes

I recently been going through my loftier badger brushes, and this little brush from Whipped Dog certainly qualifies. It has an extremely pleasant and pleasing loft. I had the knot set at the standard depth rather than (as seemed to be the fad at the time) a deeper setting, which not only reduces loft but also the softness of the knot on the face,

The result is a brush whose knot holds a enormous volume of lather and feels good on my face. It loaded easily and quickly, though some thanks is due to the soap, JabonMan’s Eufros formula, here in violet. The whole prep process is a pleasure.

I noted, BTW, that I have enough Grooming Dept Moisturizing Pre-Shave for weeks to come, though I am finally nearing the bottom of the tub, a tub I started just over a year ago, on 16 Feb 2021. I love economical pleasures, particular if they are both very economical and very pleasurable. And this stuff does indeed improve the shave.

My Henson Shaving AL-13 did a great job. It’s an ideal beginner razor since it’s extraordinarily reluctant to nick and also enforces a good shaving angle: an incorrect angle will not but. Quite smooth result, quickly achieved.

I used a violet EDT, which I balmified with a couple squirts of Grooming Dept Hydrating Gel. The day is now sunny, the fog clearing, and I can get out for a walk.
