Some will never know the pleasure of using a good and well-broken-in boar brush. I’m glad I’m not one of them. Although I like the Pro 48 more, the Omega 20102 is itself quite a good brush, and some may prefer the handle (in material if not in form). The lather from Meißner Tremonia’s Black Beer No. 1 was fragrant and rich — and richly enjoyed.
The iKon Open Comb is a wonderful razor, and I actively enjoyed using it this morning. Of course, the razor is but part of the equation, so following the shave I checked to see what blade it carried: a Treet Platinum, a brand that I learned of through a Sharpologist article and that has fully lived up to its promise. BTW, I noticed as I checked the blade that this razor is one of those that covers the end tabs of the blade, something I much prefer to leaving tabs exposed.
The result of this very enjoyable shave was an exceptionally smooth face, and I enjoyed the splash of Klar Seifen (with a squirt of Hydrating Gel).
The tea today is Murchie’s 1894 Select Orange Pekoe, one of their original blends after they were founded in 1894. “A union of bright Ceylon and rich Assam teas, this strong, traditional blend is designed to celebrate and elevate the everyday ‘cuppa’ tea.”
