A great shave today, thoroughly enjoyable to boot. I do love my Vie-Long brushes, and this little boar, the Bombito as BullgooseShaving.net terms it, is a great favorite: the handle feels good, the brush is compact, the knot strikes an ideal balance of softness and resilience, and so on—unfortunately, not available at the current time, but if you let Phil know you’re interested he may get more.
The lather was wonderful but the fragrance fleeting. But though the (pleasant) fragrance is light, the lather makes up for it: creamy and thick and lubricious.
My Gillette red-tip from the UK—a red-tipped Rocket?—with a Swedish Gillette blade did three very nice passes, producing perfect smoothness by the end of the third pass. A good splash of La Toja aftershave—an aftershave I like a lot—and I’m ready for the day.
