My Vie-Long horsehair brush did a good job, though I am finding that I have less affection for the knot. It seems too sparse, though it did a good enough job this morning. It’s odd how my affection for boar brushes (particularly Omega’s Pro 48) has grown while my fondness for horsehair brushes has faded.
Rockwell’s original Model T adjustable is today’s razor, though I also have a copy of the T2. As you can see, I currently use it set at “4.” It did a good job, though with some extra effort, so after the shave I swapped out the old Gillette Silver Blue blade for a Gillette Stainless Steel.
A splash of Geo. F. Trumper’s Spanish Leather, augmented with a couple of squirts of Grooming Dept Hydrating Gel, finished the job.
The tea this morning is my own blend of three varietals from Murchie’s. Mostly it’s Keemun Extra Superior, with Assam Tippy Golden and Ceylon Kenilworth in supporting roles.
