Geo. F. Trumper used to make an excellent triple-milled shaving soap, but some years back the company decided that high quality was passé and that it would be better to offer a soap of poorer quality, so they quit making their soap and had a third-party mass-production soapmaker come up with something else that Trumper would label and sell.
Luckily, I purchased this tub before Trumper decided that the low road would lead to more profit, and this morning my PAA Solar Flare brush easily wrought an excellent lather, with no added water needed.
The Rockwell 6S razor system is superb. (Perhaps that’s the reason for the “S.”) I used the R3 for a good while, but some time back switched to the R4 just for a change of pace. That has worked out well, and today I easily achieved a perfectly smooth result.
A splash of Van Yulay’s Sandalwood aftershave splash finished the shave. The day is clear, sunny, and cold.
The tea this morning is Murchie’s Hatley Castle Blend: “Black tea, green tea (including Jasmine).”
