An unbleached boar brush with a large knot and a white handle on which "Zenith" is printed in black stands next to a tub of shaving soap standing on its side. The label is dark maroon and has a stylized drawing of a frontal view of a bison head, done isn polygons of light tan, dark tan, and brown. "Yuzu/Rose/Patchouli is printed at the bottom. "Chatillon Lux" is printed left of the bison's head, and "Declearation Grooming" at the right. A small rectangular clear glass bottle with a gold cap has a light tan label with "Chatillon Lux" in brown sccript at the top, and beneath than an open straight razor hovering over a fleur-de-lis. At the bottom is "Yazu/Rose/Patchouli." In font, an aluminum slant razor rests on its side.

I’m growing fond of this Zenth brush, which did a great job on Declaration Grooming’s Yuzu/Rose/Patchouli, a very nice soap in their Bison formula. They also offer the same fragrance in their more recent Milksteai formula.

I did three passes with the superb aluminum slant that Fine Accoutrements briefly offered a few years ago, and the result was shaving perfection. It’s a shame that razor is no longer available — though, TBH, the RazoRock Superslant and the Phoenix Artisan double slants are a bit more comfortable and equally efficient.

A splash of Chatillon Lux’s Yuzu/Rose/Patchouli aftershave lotion, and the week begins.

The tea this morning is Baltimore Coffee & Tea Co.’s Brassica Tea with orange.
