I didn’t use quite enough of the shaving cream. Perhaps I should go with a lathering bowl for the samples. Normally I twirl the damp brush in a tub of shaving cream to coat the tips of the bristles, but in this case I’m smearing a bit of the sample (#3 today) on my beard, and I think I just didn’t use enough.
Nonetheless, the shave went well. The FaTip is a good razor, though not quite so comfortable as some I own. Still: smooth result, no nicks, and a nice feel in the hand.
A splash of Thayer’s Rose witch hazel & aloe vera, and the day begins. It occurred to me that, if I lived where the weather was hot, I might keep this bottle of Thayer’s in the fridge. There are more approaches than merely menthol, you know. (I’ve also kept my alum block in the freezer from time to time: very refreshing in the summer.)
