Another BBS result, using (mostly) an order I received yesterday from LA Shaving Soap Company. The razor is their entry in the high-quality, solid stainless razor field: the BBS-1, which sells at $225, a price that seems steep to me, though the razor is indeed quite good.
The brush is a kabuki cosmetics brush—nothing wrong with that, given my affection for the Ecotools Finishing Kabuki brush that I use. The brush lathered well, and holds an ample supply of lather. I did get out the Ecotools to test against it. The Ecotools also did a good job, with a knot not quite so dense as the LASSC brush.
The razor, with a new Personna Lab Blue blade, did a fine job, as noted. I would say that it is not quite so comfortable/gentle as the iKon family or the Feather AS-D1/2, but it’s certainly not harsh: very business-like.
Three passes to a BBS result, then a good splash of the B&M Fougère Classique aftershave, which is really nice.
The weekend is underway.
