A very fine shave today. I picked the Standard because I suspect/hope that it was a gift received by many men.
But first, the prep. I’m still doing a pre-shave beard wash with MR GLO. The Plisson Chinese Grey is a terrific brush: superb performance and a feel different from a silvertip. And the Paisley lathers easily, producing a lightly fragranced (lavender, I think) but rich and creamy lather.
Three passes with the Standard, a splash of Myrsol, and Boxing Day is underway.
My La-Z-Boy chair is getting inspected by a guy from the dealer: after 8 months of use, a spring in the seat abruptly gave way, producing a very uncomfortable chair. I believe that the chair should last longer than 8 months, and I hope the dealer’s rep agrees. I wonder whether their quality has taken a nose-dive since my previous purchase about 9 years ago.
