Quite a nice shave. The Plisson is their terrific synthetic knot in a nice solid handle. It’s the same knot as in l’Occitane’s Plisson, and with the euro so low, I decided to get it. Wonderful knot: soft, efficient, and loads of capacity.
Shaver Heaven’s Choc Delight is very chocolate smelling, and I’m not sure that works for me in a shaving soap, but it is definitely a change of pace. It’s definitely not so nice as QED’s Mocha Java, but QED does not seem to make shaving soap at all any more, a definite loss, IMO.
The lather was ample and excellent, and I used two razors to compare: the Progress and the Gillette Super Adjustable, the latter with a Voskhod blade. Both shave quite well, but the Progress has, for me, a better feel: it’s heftier and feels quite good on the face, more solid than the Gillette.
I obtained a very smooth result with no nicks, and a good splash of Diplomat finished the job.
