Today’s shave was a perfect BBS, and fun to boot.
I used the Chiseled Face angel-hair synthetic and got a wonderful lather from Meißner Tremonia’s Strong ‘n Scottish shaving soap—and it does indeed have the smoky fragrance of a single-malt scotch from Islay. I had zero problems with the lather—I think I simply did not load the brush well in the previous shave—and the lather itself was thick, fragrant, creamy, and protective. This is a first rate shaving soap, but (obviously) not for those with skin sensitive to lanolin.
The RazoRock Baby Smooth is an exceptional razor, and I’m very pleased that I scored one during their brief appearance. It seems a shame that a razor this excellent is not in production. It is extremely comfortable, but also highly efficient, and getting a BBS result was easy.
A good splash of Ginger’s Garden Suede, and the weekend is underway.
