Extremely good shave today. I used the Rod Neep brush to apply Brummell Shave Creme, which apparently is not a lathering shave cream, but does a good job withal—and it did indeed leave my skin feeling quite nice:
Ingredients: Castor Oil, Organic Argan Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Shea Butter, Aloe, Castile Soap, Coconut Soap and other pure essential oils.
I wanted to try the two most frequently recommended razors for travel (in cases in which carrying or getting DE blades is a problem): Bic Metal and Gillette Guard. Today is the Bic Metal shave. An incredibly lightweight razor, whose handle feels like a plastic soda straw. It does, however, have a single blade—this is a Single-Edged razor—and practically no lather capacity at all. Still, the three passes went well and with a bit of ATG polishing I have a BBS result. Certainly not so much fun as a regular DE razor, though.
A good splash of Peary & Henson Aftershave, and I’m ready for the day.
Ingredients: Witch Hazel, Aloe, Cedar Water, Bay, Coriander and other pure essential oils.
