Simpson was purchased by Vulfix a few years back, but this Persian Jar was made long before the purchase. It’s a very nice brush, more or less an ideal combination of excellent silvertip bristles, good density, good resilience, and good capacity. It had not problem at all in working up a good lather from Van Yulay’s Brandstof shaving soap, and as usual I added a small amount of water a couple of times as I loaded the brush. The fragrance is pleasant:
Pink pepper & star anise; lavender and raspberry with base notes of vetiver and heliotrope.
