Yardley is another vintage soap, and though it lacks the complex fragrance of Lenthéric, it still lathers well with a traditional lavender fragrance. The lather, made this morning using the Rooney Emilion brush shown, was thick and creamy.
The Gillette President shown has been replated in rhodium. (I believe the original finish of the President was partly rhodium and partly nickel; this one is all rhodium.) The is a Y-2: made in 1953 in Apr-May-June, so 63 years old, yet very spry.
Three passes left a smooth face, to which I applied a good splash of TOBS aftershave. Mid-week looks good now.
