H.L. Thäter makes good shaving brushes, and Truefitt & Hill made excellent shaving soaps before they reformulated the soap and outsourced its manufacture. The tub shown is pre-reformulation. Oddly, the lather was gone after the first pass. No idea why that happen—shaving has its mysteries—but I simply reloaded (with another soap: Institut Karité) and proceeded.
The Stealth is a good slant and I had no problems in producing a smooth face, to which I applied a good splash of Chiseled Face’s Easy Street.
The non-holiday part of the week now begins.
