Great new fragrance for aftershave

Another perfect shave. I liked the Institut Karité shaving soap so much that I couldn’t wait to use it again, this morning with the Butterscotch Rooney Emilion that I bought from VintageBladesLLC.com. (Someone was just asking it about it this morning, from seeing it in the shave den photos, so I thought I’d trop it out. It’s a terrific brush, and I’m indebted to Todd O. for pointing it out. Tomorrow I’ll use its companion, a Rooney Victorian with an equally wonderful knot.)

The lather was wonderful. The razor is an Edwin Jagger head (holding a Personna blade of some variety) on a UFO aluminum bronze handle. The shave was extremely pleasant, with a BBS finish.

Yesterday The Wife and I were in San Francisco to deliver her to a conference, so we had lunch at Neiman-Marcus on Union Square. I have enjoyed my Creed Green Irish Tweed and I was curious about their other fragrances. So I stopped by the Creed section. Wow. I don’t have the money to have many, but if I could afford it, I would have a lot of Creed fragrances. They are all interesting and complex. If you get a chance to sample some Creed fragrances, take it.

I ended up buying a 1oz travel size of the fragrance shown and wished I could buy more. This one is a relatively new fragrance and, the sales clerk told me, extremely popular. Certainly is with me. I spray some in my hands and then use it as an aftershave splash.
