I used my Jlocke98 formula with emu oil after reading this post at Cool Tools. I had no idea emu oil was such a good thing.
Normally when using shaving cream from a tube, I smear a little on my (wet, washed) beard, but today I squirted it instead onto my Mühle silvertip badger brush. That also works well. As usual, with shaving cream I add water as I work up the lather, since the brush starts fairly well shaken out and dryish.
Three passes of the Super Adjustable. I got a very nice shave, but it took more work than I though appropriate, so I swapped on the old Personna Lab Blue blade at the end for a new Timor blade. I don’t recall using that brand before, so it will be interesting to see what the next shave is like.
A good splash of Bulgarian Rose from Saint Charles Shave, and the middle of the week is here.
