Spicy shave with a great little razor

A great shave is a fine start to a new day. Since Russian Tea from the late, lamented Strop Shoppe has a fragrance redolent of spice, I chose an aftershave in the same ballpark. But first, the lather. My G.B. Kent BK4 did its usual handsome job, and the lather was a pleasure in itself, both creating it and using it.

Then I set to work with the Baili BR171, which I discovered is also sold by Chiseled Face. At least, it was a day or so ago. Gone now, but perhaps he will restock. [My error. It’s in stock at the link. -LG= The BR171 is a great little razor: very comfortable, very efficient, feels good in the hand, solid construction, and (to my eye) attractive. For $6 (the price it had at Chiseled Face) or $7 (its price at Italian Barber) it’s a screaming bargain. A great travel razor since it performs well and feels good and losing it would not be a biggie.

Three passes to a perfectly smooth result with no trouble encountered, then a splash of Barrister & Mann Reserve Spice: the day is already off to a good start.
