Phoenix Artisan’s KC-6 formula is quite wonderful, and after an exchange of comments on brush types, I decided on my trusty Omega 20102 this morning. I wet the knot well under the hot-water tap, showered, and then set to work.
Doppelganger Oxblood is the KC-6 choice this morning, and once again the lather seems especially nice to my skin, which ends the shave soft and supple. The Phoenix double-open-comb razor is comfortable and, with the head loosened just a tiny amount (about 1/8 turn at most), quite efficient. Three passes easily smoothed my face, and a splash of the matching aftershave finished the job.
I really like starting the day with a shave. It gets me off on the right foot, somehow, elevating my mood and my outlook.
