
Another example of why there’s no need to pay a high price to get a good brush: the RazoRock Bruce. At $12 it’s more expensive than the Keyhole brush ($10), and has the same knot, but some might prefer this handle. The Plissoft-style knot did a fine job building a lather from Meißner Tremonia’s Woody Almond shaving paste — a lather with a wonderful fragrance.
Three passes of the Edwiin Jagger head (here mounted on a Maggard Razors MR11 handle) left my face smooth and ready for a good splash of Anthony Gold’s superb Red Cedar aftershave. Great way to start the weekend.
