I’m continuing to pick badger brushes from my collection with an eye to loft, and this brush from The Copper Hat, with its pleasant Delrin handle, has a respectable loft that today held a heap of fragrant lather from RazoRock’s Zi’ Peppino. I really like the fresh, clean fragrance of this soap, especially welcome on a cold and windy — but clear — winter morning.
I just mentioned the Rockwell 6S — an excellent razor — and here it turned up in the rotation. I am currently using R4, but as I noted, preferences drift and that may change. Every one of the baseplate “settings” is, in my experience, both comfortable and efficient, and I could use any without dissatisfaction.
Three passes left my face perfectly smooth (“perfectly” = no nicks), and a splash of Zi’ Peppino aftershave with a squirt of Hydrating Gel finished the job.
