I do like Grooming Dept soaps, and the Mallard formula is excellent. My trusty (if lopsided) Rooney Finest Style 2 easily worked up an astonishingly good lather after adding a little water to the brush during loading and as the lather developed on my face.
Merkur’s vintage white bakelite slant does a superb job, and a small amount of Antica Barbieria Colla’s aftershave milk finished the job.
