Grooming Dept’s Vertu is a luscious shaving soap: the Nai formula, with a fragrance of “Chocolate, Osmanthus, Cognac, Castoreum, Patchouli, Tonka, and Vanilla.” The lather was generous and rich, thanks in part to my WSP Monarch brush, and the Rockwell 6S is still a king among razors. I’m currently using the R4 baseplate. Three passes to perfection, then a dab of Grooming Dept Hydrating Gel with a splash of Diplomat. Great start to a new day.
The tea this morning is Murchie’s Library Blend: “This blend of Ceylon, Jasmine, Keemun and Gunpowder teas has a rich, full base with the sparkle of aromatic Jasmine.”
