The lather from Declaration Grooming’s bison-tallow soap this morning was exceptional, perhaps because I took extra care in shaking water from the brush before starting and then adding tiny amounts of water as needed during loading and while working up the lather on my face.
Yaqi’s double-open-comb razors are really excellent, and this one had no problems at all in delivering a first-rate shave: three quick passes produced perfect smoothness.
A splash Chatillon Lux’s aftershave toner finished the job. This is one of the aftershaves that requires no assistance from Grooming Dept Hydrating Gel.
The tea this morning is Murchie’s Queen Victoria blend: “rich Darjeeling and Ceylon, smoky Lapsang Souchong and sweet Jasmine.”
