
An atmospheric river is flowing over us right now, so the tea this morning (of course) Murchie’s Storm Watcher: “With toasted malty notes and slight smokiness, this brew is strong enough to stand up to the addition of milk and sugar, yet nuanced enough to be enjoyed neat.”
The shave itself was extremely nice. The fine Italian shaving soap by Tcheon Fung Sing is always a pleasure, and I like the Tabacco Verde fragrance a lot. Mühle’s Gen 2 synthetic made a really excellent lather — I had taken care to shake the brush well, so the lather was thick and creamy, and adding a little water as I worked it up on my face made it perfecct.
Phoenix Artisan’s Ascension does a remarkably good job, easily delivering a smooth result with no problems. A splash of Tabac aftershave, with a couple of squirts of Grooming Dept Hydrating Gel, finished the job.
