Love Bombs on a dark-ish day

A shaving brush with a black knot and base and a red handle next to a tub of shaving soap whose label bears the legend "Love Bombs" and shows a hand pushing buttons a control panel with ICBMs fly in the sky above (yes: weird), and bottle aftershave with the same label. In front is an aluminum slant razor with a ridged handle.

The label on this shaving soap seems very weird to me, but I do like the soap: CK-6 and “Dark Chocolate, Rose, Rosewood, Bergamot, Tea, Orange, Lemon, Black Pepper, Ginger, Palo Santo, Vetiver, Cedar, Tobacco, and Rose Absolute.” Maybe the label seemed too weird to last since the soap is no longer available.

But I got a good lather with a good fragrance, and that Fine Accoutrements slant did a superb job: three passes to blissful smoothness, with nary a nick. A splash of Love Bombs aftershave with a couple of squirts of Grooming Dept’s Aion Hydrating Gel finished the job.

The tea this morning is Mark T. Wendell Hu-Kwa: “Hu-Kwa is a uniquely crafted black tea from the island of Formosa and is considered by many tea connoisseurs to be the benchmark against which all other Lapsang Souchong style teas are measured.”
