The Omega Pro 48 — with a tall, bleached-boar knot and a chromed plastic handle2m stands next to a tub of shaving soap whose black side-label had the word "Pomp" in red. Lying on the lid is a blacck plastic razor with a strong slant and a humpback design, with one end of the cap thicker that that the top of the cap is not slanted despite the slant of the blade. Next is a small, square, frosted glass bottle with a tall silver cap that bears a label: "Dark Rose."The bottle is half filled with a gold liquid.
The great Omega Pro 48 and the Eros slant

Pomp is a Grooming Dept exclusive to The Razor Company. It’s a Donkey Base soap whose fragrance notes are “Bourbon whiskey, Dark Rose, Dark Fruits, Dark Woods.” Delectable fragrance and a solid lather, thanks in part to the Omega Pro 48.

The Eros slant — which I believe is a rebranded Walbusch, just based on appearance — did a very fine job in three passes, and a splash of Dark Rose, an EDT from Saint Charles Shave, finished the job. (Since it is an EDT I used a couple of squirts of Grooming Dept’s Aion Hydrating Gel to make it more aftershavey.)

The tea this morning is Baltimore Coffee and Tea Company’s Brassica® Green Tea w/Orange with TrueBroc®: “China Green tea with natural orange and TrueBroc® antioxidant.”
