Almightywhacko commented that the Satin Tip brushes seem to relax a bit after a few uses, and I’ve noticed that happening with other brushes, both natural (in particular a recent silvertip badger from Rooney) and also with synthetics: a very quick break-in—only 1-2 uses—but a noticeable change in the feel of the brush.
So I did a comparison of these two, thinking perhaps the black (which was somewhat stiffer than the Plisson angel-hair) was not so yielding as the white. But today, both brushes seemed much the same and also both brushes on this, their second use, seemed softer overall. I probably should use them a week and then compare again to the Plisson. Perhaps the difference after more use will not be so great.
Himalayan Heights is another fine soap from Meißner Tremonia with the “woody-spicy scent of Himalayan cedar.” A very good lather and a nice fragrance.
The Eros slant is the slant whose feel and performance most resemblers the iKon Shavecraft #102—that is, the Eros is really exceptionally good (for me). It easily reduced the two-day stubble to an exceptionally smooth finish. There is an Eros slant currently available on eBay for $75, I see. I think I paid $40 for this just a couple of years ago.
A small squeeze of the Esbjerg aftershave gel, and the week begins.
