The Omega brush is from my discard pile, but it did a pretty good job. Its only problem is a relatively small lather capacity, but the lather it held was excellent in consistency and fragrance.
This morning I hammered the baseplate away from the cap (a problem that exists only in the prototype I’m using, not in the production version) and replaced the Derby Extra blade with a Personna Lab Blue, a brand that for me seems sharper—and indeed I encountered less stubble resistance, with a very easy shave. Again I applaud the razor’s very light weight, which encourages using light pressure.
My familial tremor was pretty active this morning, but nonetheless I got a perfectly smooth shave and with not a nick. For me, this razor is noticeably superior in shaving comfort to the Fine Superlite, which had a tendency (for me) to nick.
A splash of Leviathan on my perfectly smooth face finished the job and started the week on a very pleasant note.
Tomorrow I’ll use the 102 and try to compare.
